Spring Is Off To A Busy Start For Motives Consulting
Well since the MA Blitz Tour with JR & Loren RIdinger here in NY it's gotten quiet and I've been in planning mode even made a new digital Dream Board thanks to Oprah's website. Just this week I've gotten several requests for Motives events without having to going out soliciting for them! I've also been speaking with some colleagues about a renewed effort to promote the line to salons that we think qualify for distribution. I have a few local salons & spas in mind that are either high end or just trendy looking which have the space for makeup services. The challenge is getting through to the owner.
It may be tricky to take on more than two salons per quarter because of the need for setting up the display, determining stock and training the makeup artist or staff and salon owner but I certainly won't say no when there are more! LOL Honestly that will get me back in business for conducting certifications again. The new trainer criteria is quite strict which I agree with, there should be a higher level of professionalism, because of the complexity of certifying consultants with the proper knowledge. I'm just shy of attaining that so keep your fingers crossed & let me know if you want to sign up for Motives! haha
Ya know I just heard today that almost 150 Arbonne consultants switched over to Motives in one giant swoop in the MidWest because of the company's bankruptcy filing earlier this year. They loved the easier pay plan and trendy product. And probably were in one organization and followed their leader....now that's a story! Sadly I also heard that mlm YTB, Your Travel Business, also filed earlier this year. Just goes to show why MA is here to stay and by being more like a franchise equals success since 1992. None of that baloney with front loading and qualifying with boxes of product just to keep your quota. I mean whether they restructure or not and fail, why would you stay there?! They're in debt! If you're on the fence with your sales company, check out our plan & ask me how to get registered. Seriously!
The new trainings are out and are a lot more helpful in showing new UnFranchise owners how to conduct themselves for consultations with detailed support for both technique and business growth. What good is just knowing the name of the product without knowing how to use it and when to recommend one item over another? So while I'm on hiatus I plan to attend a colleague's training for the Winning With Motives workshop....that one has the salon data.
I have to know what the numbers are to tell prospective salon owners that MA was still fine tuning when I attended the recertification class. Last I recall the goal is to introduce 10 clients a week to the Motives collection with a consult -which doesn't mean makeover- then about 4 of those will purchase an average of $100 in makeup and skincare creating $400 a week in sales with a percentage in profit and points toward commissions with only the pre-packaged products and not counting the custom blend liquid foundation or custom blend mineral powders with higher profit margins. The question is what kind of numbers are those in monthly earnings when you do include the custom products which are Motives claim to fame.
So for now, I will brainstorm with colleagues and utilize what I know until I get over to a workshop....and that looks like it'll be in NJ or CT because there's nothing else on Long Island unless there's an English class in one of the NYC boroughs....I think Brooklyn is a possibility? Want to go with me?
