There's Been So Much Going On Since MA's Convention & Motives is Rocking The Beauty Media!!

Yesterday was my first Motives Day 1 training since Market America's Convention in early August. I had a small group of students that were very excited to learn the ropes as a Color Consultant. They all plan to do workshops & Mineral parties to promote the Motives line. The presentation was updated to include all of the new products & developments from convention plus I added a few of my own pictures of the tradeshow & new Motives tools.

After that class I held a special update for the local Senior Consultants around here which gave them a mini-training about the updates & new info that I learned at the 2 Day Motives Trainer Workshop. Some of them were unable to attend convention or simply wanted to hear what I had to share so I'm glad that they made the time to come over on a Saturday evening. Several of them expressed interest in re-certifying their status because of all the new products & publicity but I believe that the new Motives business plan impressed them the most since it can help us recruit beauty prospects with a focus on Motives as the sales volume generator without losing them in the entire MA selection of products & services.

We are all going to work together & host Motives Home Kick Offs to launch this plan & will follow up with our contacts to plug in to dates in the coming weeks. Once school starts for my kids then I can really have some quality time to do productive work & meet with people that are available during the day. For those of you reading this & getting your own ideas, contact your local Motives Trainer as they are the only ones authorized to do Motives Kick Offs at this time because the plan is only in Day 2 powerpoints & can be pulled out to do home presentations.

As for the recent Market America Convention, it was such a blast!! I almost didn't go!! But....I drove down from Long Island & took my girls to their cousin's in Charlotte while I attended the event. They came with me to the first Motives class & got to see my pictures from "TheMakeupShow" up on the big screens. They were surprised to see Mommy up there! And I am also proud to say the our event photos were shown twice more and are included in the new Motives powerpoints for the Day 1 training!!

The redesign of our webportal is so much more user-friendly & the social media & blog icons are still high on the page but minimized. Our partnership with Microsoft FAST has totally changed our search & shopping capabilities, the results are more relevant & even includes the details for free shipping, premier partners status & IBV--with my own personal customer ID. Soon all Preferred Customers will view a 2% Cash Back, probably where I see IBV points in the cache. That alone has perked up the ears of people around me that never considered checking out my portal before & I can't wait to launch a holiday shopping campaign once that launches in late September. We even have a former Amazon tech creating mobile apps for the iPhone!!!

Seems like MA gets ahead of itself with so many great ideas & products. For instance the new Nail Candy polish sold out immediately & won't have new stock for another week or two, then the perfume Mine by Loren Ridinger can be pre-ordered but is in production so it won't ship until October! The new 40fy Lip Treatment for plumping up the lips as an anti-aging treatment just got into the warehouse the other day & I still have to order the rest of the new Eye Candy Creme Shadows & Paint Pot Pigments that are named after the top beauty publications. So much great new stuff!!

The media coverage for Motives is also continuing to flow with many publishers still working on stories for the coming holiday season but the beauty bloggers have written so much about the line that our Press Kit is getting too large to print off! At least I will be able to create a powerful flip book in the new Motives Attache Case for presenting to salons.....which is my next plan with some colleagues.

I know that Motives can rock the Long Island beauty scene & get more cashflow into the local salons struggling through the economic slump & the new presentation will help get that idea across. There's no diversion with Motives & we are the only line to offer a backend / long term income with the MA business plan that partners with so many other fashion merchants & everyday merchants.

Beauty professionals need a new long term income stream, like I've said many times on this blog, but must understand they have to "work smarter not harder". They'll keep standing on their feet for the rest of their lives performing services long after they should've retired, unless their arms give out first from working so many years. My stylist is in his late 40's & had upper back & shoulder surgery already because of the pain of lifting his arms to cut hair all these years. I can only imagine what others are dealing with to keep their money coming in from seeing clients. Gotta get the word out!

Well, today's Day 2 for Custom Cosmetics has no one registered!! So in ten minutes I'll officially be off for the rest of the day. It's unfortunate that no one is prepared to learn the entirely redone Custom Blend Liquid Foundation. I think the consultants are worried about their original kits even though they love the idea of no more oral syringes to create formulations. Okay, still have to get down to the training room to clean up a bit from yesterday & just incase someone unannounced shows up like yesterday!!
