Long Overdue Update for Motives @ TheMakeupShow NYC 2009
Well so much stuff is going on in the aftermath of our showing at TheMakeupShow with Motives by Loren Ridinger!! (Motives by LR from now on) I was so excited about our results that I wrote a letter about our experience & had Brenda Cardona contribute her thoughts too then forwarded that on to Market America, specifically the Motives Dept. & Loren herself wrote right back within a few minutes!! We pulled pictures together from our NY Motives team & sent them along at her request.
So last night our emailed newsletter for the entire company's distributorship included our story along with 3 photos!!! There are so many new Facebook friends & emails of congratulations from colleagues that it's both overwhelming and delightful. I'm sure this publicity via MA will also boost Brenda & mine's student attendance for Motives certifications. If corporate does decide to publish it in our company magazine Powerline I hope they can credit the rest of our staff too so that everyone gets recognized for their effort.
Of course, just as I sent out that info my laptop crapped out!!! I've had serious computer withdrawl & had to tame my addiction to Twitter! hehe I was so frustrated because it's my main source of storage---no I didn't back up---so I had to access the web from my daughter's desktop. I wasn't even sure why it went down but after almost two weeks I got a new battery since the power was giving me trouble holding a charge & can finally get to work on my tasks.
I also got to meet a beauty blogger that I admire, EnKoren & he was so nice, very personable. Brenda was making fun of my excitement since she wasn't into the online beauty experts from YouTube & Twitter. He took the photo with me & came back later in the day to shoot an interview with our team!!! We were so happy to oblige & he did include us in the main coverage of his trip to TheMakeupShow under "Fun Peeps" in the last minute of the video, we'll see if he can edit our blubbering to a decent clip. hehe

I'm off to prep my makeup kit for this Friday's Motives party that's a combo party with a massage therapist, Pampered Chef rep & a new Tupperware rep. I hope it goes well, I've never done a party like that but the women organzing it are personal friends so I'm sure it'll be a successful event. They all have great energy & are very open minded.
As for future Motives classes, I've submitted to corporate for the next quarter's set of certifications. I am awaiting their approval via our meeting coordinators until I promote them. Tentatively I have booked: July 18th & 19th plus the 20th for skincare; after Convention-August 22nd & 23rd plus the 24th for skincare & September 25th for skincare & 26th & 27th for the all day classes. This is unconfirmed so please wait for me to post an update or look for them on NMTSS, our national meeting system. (please note the skincare 101 is 3hrs & on my calendar for 7pm start time)
