Making Plans For 2009 To Grow My Business With Teamwork
Before the end of this year I've got a Motives Martini event booked with one of our team mates. We're going with the theme of a "New Year & New You" party. Most guests are invited by phone but a few can get emailed and I encourage using Evite.com. They have a great service and a nice selection of martini invites plus some very useful features for the hostess to help manage the event.
For January I plan to host a few of my own events that I'm promoting via Meetup.com's calendar with the same NewYear/NewYou theme, plus via my social profiles on various sites and will have follow up events for the 7 Day NutriClean digestive system cleanse/detox with a Natural Health Seminar & Transitions Overview for weight management with our low glycemic program & targeted supplements. New Year is the time that everyone is looking for a fresh start and conducting these mini-seminars will be a great way for people to jumpstart their 2009 quest for optimal health & grow our business. Talking about how "Beauty Starts From Within" will be an important topic too since a healthy intake of antioxidants supports better skin & anti-aging regimens are also tied in with the whole theme of self-improvement. Its great to be in a wellness based business!
Networking with social media is so important these days and I am striving to find new people for MA via this avenue & minimize the downside of prospecting. I believe in the Law of Attraction or the spider web theory of marketing, if they stick to what you've built--be it a blog, profile or group--then they are looking to learn more about what you're doing & will come to you for more info. It can be time consuming but affordable because minimal costs, if any, are incurred to manage or incorporate some of these tools. I think it's really just part of owning your own business, some advertising expenses should be included in your budget. Our traditional business, the repair shop, wouldn't get as many new customers without it so why shouldn't our internet based business invest in marketing too? How else can one expect to tap into the power of reaching people online? Social media is online word-of-mouth marketing, simply enough & less costly than paying for banners, links & sponsored ads.
Speaking of tools, I'm still waiting for MA to send the set up email for me to activate my maLiveChat service. The link shows on my portal homepage but I haven't accessed it yet to customize it. I think it should be offline until I can do that, it may frustrate web visitors that try to use it and get "unavailable". Think I'll double check my spam filter to make sure that notification didn't get junked.

How beautiful!! I just got a delivery for the updated Motives by Loren Ridinger catalogs & absolutely love them!! New 7x9 format is more cost effective for postage than the old 8x10's and can easily be added to order bags. It includes the new Gossip mineral collection, limited edition Dream Goddess palette & has more gorgeous new photos of models too.
