There Are So Many Fun Social Networks, Badges & Services
As you can see on the blog, I've been updating the site lately. I recently changed the entire template to a wider sidebar that accommodates the new Meetup.com badge & other widgets. The bolder purple is now more of a muted dark grape and easier on the eye. I still plan to paste a better image from my photos but have issues with Kodak's Easyshare, so it will have to wait a bit and the Motives Gossip collection picture will be there for now.
I've also added a Facebook badge and added many more posts to that profile. Market America is also on FB, LinkedIn & MySpace too. I recently linked with them on MS and on LinkedIn this past summer. The power of social networking with your own people is just starting to work for Market America. The key is personal relationships, content and leverage for getting something out of Social Media which is still an aspect that MA distributors don't understand. The internet presence of MA is a powerful tool and having myself associated with their profiles will not only keep me updated on their efforts but it will also make me more visible.
Over the last three years I have learned a lot about internet marketing and find it intriguing as I learn to apply my commercial art training & creativity to my projects. My first objective was to learn about sales & marketing for MA's products online so first I learned about content and guerilla marketing, also known as shoestring budget marketing, which lead into the entire world of internet marketing with the blogosphere & social media. This is also new territory for many companies with the advancement of Web 2.0 techniques for branding and merchandising but I think that's why many applications are user friendly and don't require much technical skill to use.
I'm an official Twitter.com addict!! I'll confess to that, I'm even a member of Twitters Anonymous, hehe. The new tool is not only linking me to other bloggers & entrepreneurs but also to well respected CEO's, writers and famous personalities. Its very common to get tips on what they do to make money online & get invites to events or see posts to exclusives for their "followers" to give feedback on. The trick is not to stay on too long and lose track of time but its an amazing tool for instant marketing to hundred's, or if your popular enough, thousands of followers.
The whole purpose of social media is to get the word out, its like word-of-mouth marketing with internet power. If someone owns a web business they had better have a few profiles on the top networks and a blog to give updates, support and announcements with. Blogs are also great for SEO if done well and helps the reader learn more about who they're doing business with. Too many MA distributors say they don't know anyone to build their business with but if they'd only embrace some social media then they'd access an unlimited number of people to connect with. I hope MA teaches some of this at the upcoming World Conference when they unleash "Internet Marketing" as a new MA University specialty. I've identified myself as one for at least 4 years now but at least they're catching on.
Okay, nuff said for now...........time to get busy with some last minute holiday shopping before the Free Shipping deals go away!
