Not Much Time Left For Online Holiday Shopping!

Its been a challenge to get through these last few days, I had to push myself to vendor the holiday fair last week & invite people to last night's Meetup.com gathering which went quite well. My mind is on our dear friends and the loss they've had in both of their immediate families. To have two people experience the death of a loved one within one week is overwhelming sometimes, I tear up easy just reading news stories, like the F18 that crashed in CA. My heart is constantly reminded of their sorrow & I am anxious to see them again to be there for them through the approaching holidays. And last night my husband went to another wake for a business associate's father. So that's three & I hope that's it, like the folklore of the trinity goes.

I've been very busy with some retail therapy by comparison shopping for gifts and looking up HotDeals and reading the maBlog, Loren's blog & emails for the latest specials & discount codes. That's not even counting CouponMountain, CouponCabin & plain ol' Google searching. Gotta be a savvy shopper these days to stretch the budget!! Now even though there are 15 more days until Christmas there are much fewer online shopping days for free shipping offers!! Many internet retailers have been having some great offers and I make accounts with my favorites and add to the shopping carts but don't checkout until I'm sure that's the best deal. Most of them keep your items for a few days if not longer and that definitely makes me come back and review things I may have put off or even forgotten about.

Let's see now, I've already gotten an order from Plow & Hearth to get ColorCone hearth baskets for a few friends with fireplaces..... ya know those Color Cones that change the flame into rainbow colors!! Can't wait to try them, last year they sold out before I could order them so I made sure I got it in early enough. They have a great selection of gardener/lodge type items with real practical items like cast iron steamers for woodstoves, I love the dragon one, too bad I didn't get my woodstove that we've always talked about. Someday.

I also shopped Kmart, Walmart, Kohl's, PetSmart & Target but haven't purchased yet. There was an awesome deal on Marshamallow Shooters for the kids at.....of all places.....Drugstore.com for $15 with various styles. They have a link to Beauty.com that I can order Motives supplies & disposables from, yay! That order came fast!! Less than three days actually. I was surprised to see the box so soon. I saw those Shooters before the holiday sales but didn't see them anywhere else until I searched for them & then finding them at $5 off each one for that day was a great incentive. Some shoot regular size while the camo one can use mini-marshmallows. I think its better than those pellets or darts, at least we can nibble on these. hehe

Who else did I order from?......Oh yeah, Sears & Lands End.......today was a great sale day for my WishList item from there!!! To my surprise I visited their site while browsing Sears since they're linked, and saw a Santa's Pick for $25 for the Angel Down Vest in a shiny silver gray that I saw at Sears two months ago so even though its on backorder, I know that I'll get it and get paid for it too for using our portal. Actually I shopped Sears & got some items plus a Razor Fusion for like $39(reg. $89) thanks to a HotDeal link and discount code combo. Very cool.

I did go to the local mall to checkout Tuesday Morning and Steve & Barry's clearance sales, jeans are going for $10.90 and I wish they had a portal link because I like the Bitten line by Sarah Jessica Parker. Funny though how I actually felt GUILTY wanting to buy stuff at the mall and not via my business links. Guess I'm so focused on wanting to get paid for my purchases so I strategize for things that I just can't order online plus it helps me curb any impulse spending too. LOL Its also helping me keep track of my shopping totals but we really could use a "memo" or "shopping list" in our accounts for reference, I'm always trying to hide my master gift list from the kids and an online log in wish list would be very helpful.

Someone recently shared an audio with me about a guy that did all of his daily purchases & activities via our site to rack up thousands upon thousands of maReward points which are soon to be renamed maDollars. He uses the MA MasterCard, maTravel for all hotel & travel expenses which he does often and always pre-plans his shopping by using the GiftCertificates.com service. The clip was an hour long and very informative since they covered a little bit of what's to come in February 2009 at the World Conference in Miami when the full strength of the Google update kicks in along with a host of other changes and additions to our business.

That event is definitely going to be a major breakthrough event, I bet that MA is going to make mainstream news with all of that happening. We'll be out of the chrysalis and flashing those big ole' wings at the economy, showing people how to save money, make money & truly get corporations pay attention where consumers spend their money as it goes through MarketAmerica.com, the economy of the future! Yeah baby........

News like this has kept my spirits up and gets me to look beyond the daily stress. Good thing I bought that teal sparkled sign the other day with a powerful word on it to place on the piano....."HOPE", MA is one of the few things that gives me that these days.
