More Websites For Saving Money With Online Shopping & Fair Update

Just checking the news and looking for CyberShopping info to use and found a good article on Yahoo's homepage. I've been the coupon site CouponMountain for the Market America partner stores, see the link on the sidebar, to get codes and see offers from online merchants and our HotDeals page too. This set of sites looks like they're good too and I'm going to check them out further.

I've been out of the loop lately due to one of our closest friend's losing his dad last week to Leukemia. He was coping but had lost his battle with chemo and stem cells that didn't take and infections that sabotaged his chances for survival. Hospice was not for him since he was in his mid-60's and still quite mobile. His dad was really the only Grandpa my kids knew, so it hit us hard. By the way, his last wish was to ask everyone to get loved ones checked out if they too were at Ground Zero on 9/11. Dad worked the electrical maintenance department for the towers and helped rescue people trapped in elevators. His work partner and some twenty men of his crew perished that day. He never spoke about it. They had the 9/11 memorial flag on his coffin with all of the names on it.

The funeral was yesterday and I regretfully missed it to attend the holiday fair that I had booked. I had a heavy heart all day and just was not as into obtaining leads as I should have. It was a unusually slow fair, all the vendors around me were complaining. I managed to meet an old friend who bought a lot of cosmetics from me and promised to host a mineral party too. Several others made small purchases, mostly the mini-Mineral kits I made with our sample jars and a baby kabuki that I stocked up on at the International Beauty Show earlier this past year. The next one is in April and I plan to scoop up more because they're perfect for the mini-set.

Thankfully some distributor friends came by to visit my booth. One couple is from my town whom I had helped with a Motives party in the Spring to which they say she's now getting reorders from. Then one of my Senior partners, Bill, came by and then our mutual friends/distributors Laura & Bob came too. They hung out and helped drum up leads. Although they couldn't believe how negative and unfriendly the shoppers were. hehe. I was so grateful that they even helped me load up at the end of the day. Didn't expect that. We took some pix that I'll share here. The Motives table layout looked really nice & I'd like to my readers & students to see it. The Fabulosity basket came out awesome & I plan to make flyers to get gift basket orders that I'll leave at our shop.

SO THEN........ to make matters worse, I get a text last night from our dearest friends that the wife's youngest brother unexpectedly died, he was about 40 yrs old. My husband & I were beside ourselves with grief, again. They all grew up together & this is the same set of friend's that lost an older brother in January 2007 to a heart attack then a father two months later to a freak heart infection. I spoke to them today, as they were away in the Poconos when they heard the news, irregular cell signals in that valley for conversations, only texting works. They are just devastated and I wish I could comfort them with much needed hugs before they run down to TN for the services. We'll see if time permits for us to at least share our sympathies.

Guess what's missing in this picture? (the Motives banner that I left at home!!)
