New Movie for Women: The GLOW Project
A motivational business coach that I subscribe to just sent out a link to the trailer for what looks like a women's empowerment movie called 'The GLOW Project'. Looks like its been around for a few months but this is the first I've heard of it. Kinda reminds me of the law of attraction movie 'The Secret' with some trailers on Youtube. So of course, after watching these clips and on the coach's endorsement, I ordered one.
Being so Motive-minded, I immediately thought of our new pressed mineral highlighter Color Quad titled "You Glow Girl" as an awesome compliment to this new film. All they need is a compact and a mineral brush to go with it. Maybe I should make a special and do a movie showing. hehe Imagine how many women will want to use it as a personal reminder that are fans when they see it featured in the beauty magazines next month!! OMG....that's gonna be powerful!!
It couldn't be a better time for me to take in something like this with so much stress going on in my personal & business world. Still dealing with the residuals from that April 1st car accident, truck is fixed but I'm not. Regular readers know that I really hate to write about the downers because I believe that what you focus on is what you perpertuate or bring more of to you, ie...the law of attraction. I always say that we're holding our own or making progress but its hard to keep so optimistic in these hard economic times.
As traditional small business owners with a auto repair shop we are directly affected by the slowdown. People are strapped, don't travel as much or can't afford to fix cars and let them run down further then just buy a new one, if they have any credit left. We just talked about it last night about how our shop used to support five families, now we can only manage two. Several mechanics had to find new employment because we were at the point of downsizing or going past the point of staying open last year. Not that much has impoved but we're hanging in there, partially due to the used car sales.
My husband is an honorable man & was so proud to tell me about a recent experience that he had with a new customer. Someone bought a used car from him within the last few months and came in with a minor problem, a detached hose, and expected to be charged for the service that literally took 2 minutes. A dealership would normally charge their hourly rate no matter how quick of a fix it is. So when he sent her off on her way, she was in total amazement that he wanted nothing. Needless to say, her word-of-mouth recommendation for our shop is priceless and she has been back for other service since then but that's how he is, and our family is, and that's where the good karma comes in. Speaking of.....
I personally have an issue with a supposed friend that went to the Mineral party that I had earlier this month. Not only did she knowlingly register for MA with a total stranger at a "job interview" but she also cancelled her order!! I was livid yesterday when a mutual friend told me how it all went down. Ethically, if a business partner determines you are someone else's prospect, customer or friend they should re-direct you back to that contact, unfortunately some people in NY don't care about being honorable like that and just want to promise lots of fast money-making. The sponsor also knows me personally---has even been to my class!, and still pursued her so she's on my X-list too and deleted from my email contacts. You just know that people know they did wrong when they attempt to justify their actions, I'm a mom of three, I know. I wished her good luck with her business anyhow, sarcastically of course.
It's so uncool, I'm sad, makes my heart heavy.....not only because I lost a relatively new friendship but now MA will surely have a failed distributor that was not given full disclosure about the business requirements and expectations. AND what's even worse is that this "friend's" husband doesn't even know what she did!! He's gonna freak when he finds out and our mutual friend will probably make sure to bring it up. Guess she really wasn't a friend worth keeping.
Wonder how good I'll be when I run into her at trainings and meetings or gatherings of our mutual friends? UGH! I'm not the spiteful-vengeful type, I detach and withdraw and delete-hehe, typical Cancerian into my shell. It still boils my blood though........where's that bergamot spray that I just bought to help destress my environment?? Must douse myself too!
Regardless of the drama, I can't wait to get this new movie and get some uplifting vibes into me again, otherwise the next potential injection of high energy will be at the end of next month for the Regional Convention in Providence. Question is can I last that long?
