Finally! Something New for Auto Care & They are Green Cleaners Too!
The last segment I saw at MA's convention was the introduction of Autoworks car care products with Marty & Tanya on stage presenting. I was so glad to hear the info firsthand with they're cute jokes & product details. You guys probably don't know but when I saw the new auto care line in our program I was so excited that I was speechless because all these years we've only had Friction Free 3000 and the discontinued lubricant spray which certainly didn't fill up the 3 shelves at our auto repair shop. And we tried the SNAP non-toxic cleaning line but that didn't impress anyone for car washing, although the GlobalCare SOS odor spray sold to clear out smoker's residue.
We've always carried the Friction Free engine additive (see demo video) which my husband and his partner use in almost every used car that they sell. FF even gets regular customers wanting it with their oil changes when they learn that its for improving gas mileage thru better engine performance and helps with emissions for inspections. So needless to say we've been depending on the parts suppliers for retail stock and now we can use these products to detail the used cars too. I'm dying to see how the shimmering polish spray works for bringing out the sparkle for metallic paint jobs.
Now with the addition of Autoworks, a green product line, the shop will appeal to eco-friendly minded people and earn a few extra bucks for the shop. With today's economy its always good to have more income potential plus it helps volume flow thru my UnFranchise business and earn income for me too. If shop owners like us or any traditional business owner for heaven's sake, register for MA's business plan they'd get to have a much needed secondary or retirement income and even get to earn on their office supplies & auto resources via the Partner stores.
I know of one guy in our area with a tranny shop that hosts opportunity meetings there after hours, not MA. I hope he has a conference room or something but I think he's not even promoting auto products with his company but he's basically following the same idea about adding income and creating a retirement stream of income for when he moves on. Goodness knows small business owners like us need to diversify and this is a great way to add to what we're already doing.
Let me see if I can upload pics from an email announcement. This QuickBlogcast makes you upload to them first then paste it here which takes up time....wish I had a group shot. By the way, I've got an order coming in by the end of the week so you can expect a review of Autoworks soon enough. Maybe I'll take a group photo then. Stay tuned!

UPDATE 8/14:
Sorry about the re-publish, the autodraft prompt showed up when I logged in and I saved it so then it unpublished until I redid it. I guess its better to save and check then discard and the regret it.
I just read a timely article on Forbes online about how Gas Stations are dealing with the down economy & I can agree that with most of it.......one guy cleared out his station to the bare bones and I'm sure that's not too appealing to the customers.
Even if they own a few stations they're still small business owners. Gas stations are franchises, have expenses set by the franchisor & pay royalties, so there's an owner that has to adhere to the chain's specs and use the appoved materials and products which are always not cost effective.
Now that we're independent I can empathize and only hope that those guys get creative and add something like Market America to their arsenal for adding income. Automotive is a dying industry, insurance & taxes go up, rent goes up, expenses and machinery goes up but profits go down while customer loyalty is disappearing and the economy worsens. Ugh.

UPDATE: 8/22:
Can you believe that UPS smashed my package up so bad, that they had to return it to MA before I even got to see the box!!! The Autoworks cleaners probably leaked all over everything, must've been a mess. It'll be another week before I can review the green auto care stuff. Ugh......thanks UPS, you guys are usually on the ball. Wassup?
