New Blog On the Market America Homepage!!!

Hooray!! They finally are launching the Market America Blog on our webportal!! I've been dying for corporate to utilize this feature. Giving MA a voice so much more powerful than Press Releases and flash ads. I really hope they make it a tab on the toolbar and not a flash ad. That would suck because not every visitor will sit thru the rotating ads. People typically scan the page for what they want and then scroll down past the "fold" or continuation of the screen they're viewing below. I didn't see this new link under Featured Services on the lower left until just now and I've already been to the portal 3 times this morning. So I'd much rather see it higher on the page.

They had better have a bio-gallery of bloggers so that we know who's who and those listed had better make regular entries, if only once a month, depending on their department. I like the advice from About.com, that's a good place to start understanding what the purpose of a web-log is.

I also like that they have photos & the Comments are moderated, stuff like that must be approved because of flaming and spam. If you leave that un-checked then what's the point because the info will get caught up in unnecessary debates or have a few bad apples ruining a good blog, like the gossip blogger Perez Hilton, his site is great on the celebrity scoops but the comments are usually swamped with idiots saying they're "First!" or just rambling on about garbage with bad language. When I left my trackbacks open, I ended up with dozens of daily spam posts & all for prescription drugs!!

Check out MA's Blog! (also found on the webportal homepage bottom left under Featured Services)
