The NE Regional in Providence Had 6500 Attendees!!
Going to the NE Regional Convention for Market America has my mind reeling!! There's such great stuff going on with this company and the people seriously doing the business are proof of success. There were many challenge winners and success stories. Even Dr. Shari showed us some amazing weight loss testimonials. The event hosts pulled off a great event and told us that we had about 6500 people in attendance.
I must say that it was awesome to see JR speak and he did several times. Once he gets on a roll there's no stopping his on-stage antics and characterizations. His best dramatic skits are when he's imitating the embarrassed distributor that's afraid to say what they do or doesn't know how to give an answer when asked what we do. That is a challenge because of the flexibility of the many sub-specialties...but yeah, most of us are used to the network marketing type of reply while we really should have the specialty or franchise mentality. I tell people that I own an internet based home business or do internet marketing.
JR stated that a retired corporate somebody from McDonald's loves our concept so much that he's registered his own UnFranchise with MA and says that we are the best true business opportunity out there without the hassles of franchising but with all the income potential. This new distributor will be at Leadership in February and speak to the crowd about his analysis of the UnFranchise.
Another development that was mentioned by JR is how we're expanding to Great Britain in 2008 with help from Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York. Isn't that something? First MA's gonna take on GB then I bet Europe is sure to be within the scope of the plan. They'll announce more official news.....at Leadership.
Everything will now be focused on getting to Leadership in Miami this coming February. Its going to be a monumental event with lots of media coverage and many of those celebrity types will be on hand again to check us out or promote their exclusivity with MA. I must get myself there!!
I just have to say that Kevin Buckman is "da bomb" as the kids say nowadays. IMO-he's the best trainer in all of MA. He simply knows how to drive it home!! The overview of the new MA Rewards program squared away a few concerns and he pointed out that its online at our training site so go download it and read the details there. Some people either make excuses or are too lazy to do it, I visit there at least once a week. Its my responsibility to learn it as is every other independent distributor. Not "dependent". There shouldn't be any complaints now.
Hey Kevin--thanks for the wake up call. I know that the best way to "thank" him is to succeed. Funny thing is how I was seated in the last section of seats at the back of the room & when Kevin spoke to us about going home to implement our skills and do the business the way its supposed to be done....which is consistently.....he kept standing on the stage directly infront of me. If I was upfront he'd be right in my face and he kept returning to that one spot to encourage all of us to take action and stop waiting for something to happen without our doing. So many people were commenting on how he was "talking to them" too. He couldn impress upon us any more about how much he wants us to achieve our desires, whatever they may be....and not just a pin level or income number or title but our actual "wants" which are the driving reason for doing the business.
Could it be that there are so many of us "average" people working the UnFranchise that we don't have the belief in ourselves to achieve what others do when they approach the business like a profession and not like a hobby, of which I'm guilty of. I had so many ideas in my head and was jotting down notes all weekend that I planned to do this week. And what did I do? Next to nothing. It may be a big holiday week with Thanksgiving but excuses are just that excuses. Everyone else I know went to work, why should my UnFranchise business be any different?
