Coming Soon: Motives Pro Artist Program

Can't wait for the new Pro Makeup Artist Program to go live for Motives!! Details are sketchy but this will simplify the demand for professional MUA's to buy Motives at discount with a simple application that's pretty much a customer profile with contact info. It's a great way for them to order product they want and a special site to get it that's a replica of the Motives Cosmetics site.

This program will also enable them to buy at consultant cost be like Sales Reps for the company so that when they decide to upgrade their account to earn the additional back end commissions and bonuses, which requires a distributorship, it will be an easy conversion. By that time the makeup artist will be familiar with Motives line and have plans to utilize any of the consultant kits available--which are at an even deeper discount---for utilizing in their services and selling directly to their clients.

I think this program will be very powerful for MUA's that like using several brands but don't want to be limited to representing a single company. We will probably encourage them to attend local trainings for selling points and product usage tips for the usual nominal fees which are truly a fraction of what the beauty industry is used to. I'm sure they will be impressed with the quality of information we teach to the field so that anyone from the average marketer to the beauty professional can master their education in Motives.

Perhaps the biggest benefit to them signing on as an official Motives Consultant and Market America Distributor will be the ability to participate in the compensation plan as a way to create leverage for an industry that often makes more competition out of colleagues. The Motives plan is to create unity, teamwork, good work ethics and above all, an income that compounds from the group business building efforts over time. The system is structured more like a franchise than a typical beauty sales plan so we expect a more serious type of business partner.

There are no 401k's or pensions in beauty and partnering with Motives is the solution to long term income potential for salon owners, freelancers and independent contractors. Not only that but they can get paid cash back and possibly commissions on their own or client's designer clothes and trendy shoes and handbags by shopping from their own distributor webportal with state-of-the-art search and shopping technology from Microsoft & Google. Looking Forward To Expand In The Philippine Community

I'm super excited about the Market America expansion into the Filipino marketplace coming this September 1st. My heritage is a bit diverse with some Filipino from my grandfather on my mother's side from Ligaspi, which is very noticeable in my facial features. Earlier this year I reconnected with some long lost cousins in the NE thanks to my aunt and keep in touch via Facebook and even have a cousin in the Philippines too in Manila. He's shared some beautiful pictures of his family vacations and trips to historical places. I've been longing to feel connected to my family roots for a while now, as an only child with all but one immediate relative still around, it's always been on my mind to find out more about my own heritage. I've been slowly learning the terms for family members but I think I need a reference book or website for that, like Lola/Lolo and all that. Hehe

Actually my research is thanks largely in part to the MA expansion and social media, I've been making more of an effort to reach out to Filipino resources and community groups and even found a few links to foodies with insight into Filipino cuisine which seems to be very Spanish inspired yet very specific to the Philippines. There are some great tutorial videos on YouTube but I haven't been brave enough to make any of the ethnic recipes and am still enjoying discovering them.

By chance, my neighbors across the street are a Filipino family with their eldest daughter getting married soon, her bridal shower is next weekend where I hope to meet some new friends there that I can get acquainted with and learn more about the culture. I knew this one fellow from a storage facility and he told me a ton of history about the people that blew my mind but sadly he doesn't work there anymore. And so I want to befriend more people and learn more for my personal reasons and for business reasons too as I tap into the local Filipino potential for expanding the UnFranchise business, locally and eventually globally since we can do business via the web overseas. Doing business and buying from fellow Filipinos seems to be a recurring theme so I would like to think that I will have some advantage thanks to that concept and my geneology.

Our company has an amazing trainer in place to teach the field about doing business with the people and the country with some insightful statistics and recommendations. I saw him speak at least 7 or 8 yrs ago here in NY and have tuned into his conference calls and powerpoint presentations. He knows I'm of Philippine heritage and a Motives Trainer....that still has to get back on NMTSS actually. And I am working on that with a big push this fall to grow my team into productive ranges again. Seems like everyone has had more than their fair share of issues this past year to compound setbacks.

Anyhow, I'm looking forward to this new avenue of recruiting business partners and taking it to the next level. The term "Netrepreneurs" keeps coming up and the fact that many in the Philippine community are web savvy and like to own their own business so I'm thinking maybe that's where I get it all from........"I got it from my Mama" as the song goes. Haha

Please contact me for a detailed list of meetings if you are in the Philippines, our company has a headquarters in Makati city and is very interested in getting the word out about our launch with presentations and demonstrations of how we do business. I am looking to sponsor Filipino business partners both in the USA and overseas....but you must contact me ASAP!!

Here's a video link of some MA corporate execs meeting the Philippine government leaders:

Motives Cosmetics Updates Summer 2010

You know I've been tracking down the scoop on new products and announcements about Motives by Loren Ridinger makeup, right? Well I've seen some cool photos from colleagues all over Facebook and got feedback from some of them too. Let's see if I can get these organized somehow.

1. New Item: False Lashes!, I've seen pics of 4 boxes but am not sure if there are four styles, they're not available yet.
2. New Custom Palettes: One with 8 pans for eyeshadows and another that's a magnetized shadow box large enough for several eyes, cheek and face powder pans.
3. New Brushes: An all new Kabuki, a Definer and Blender for makeup artistry
4. New Primer in a larger bottle
5. New Spray: Weightless Moisturizer for all skin types, possibly from Skindinavia
6. New Item: branded Eyelash Curler
7. New colors for Luxe Velvet Tip Eyeliner

I have also seen the new Anti-Aging premixed foundations but don't have any data on them yet. Stay tuned for updates & visit theTwitpic of my partial delivery of the new products.

There's also an awesome video on YouTube for introducing Loren which gives a flashback to an interview with Geraldo Rivera back in the mid-90's and many of the celebrities that she and JR know over the years. If you are a Salon owner or Pro Makeup Artist, or want to learn how to be one utilizing Motives check out this video and contact me for details:

Are You Getting Paid To Back-To-School Shop? Even For Computers, Netbooks & Dorm Furniture?

As a Mom of three with two girls still in school that are totally fashion conscious I have to be a savvy shopper. Not only do they have differing tastes, one is "HotTopic" girl and the other is more feminine, but I have to make them understand how to stretch a wardrobe. I've always tried to guide their fashion choices but this year with "jeggings" and tunics being the popular thing I'm sure they'll need a few key pieces to mix and match. This year more than ever, I am strategizing to get the most from our purchases and getting paid for all of it is key!

Our favorite stores have a website that I've got online accounts with so that I get their weekly sales updates and other incentives and thankfully they are all in the Market America webportal partnership program so that I get extra savings. The updates in the Hot Deals tab also gives me the latest coupons for discounts plus the company itself pays me as a customer with varying cashback amounts and as an independent UnFranchise distributor with points toward commissions. It's a Win-Win!!

Some of my top online shopping sites on the portal for Back-To-School are: Old Navy, Staples, Sears, Kmart, Target, HotTopic (for "school" clothes LOL) and of course the big kahuna, Walmart. And sometimes Kohls, Walgreens and The Children's Place too. The only one that's missing from my regular shopping list is CVS but they don't have an affiliate program, but I can get gift cards from GiftCertificates.com via the portal and at least get IBV points. I have shopped Drugstore.com in the directory instead of them for that stuff. We're not in the market for any netbooks or computers yet but if I was this would be the place to get go!! Last year I snagged a netbook and laptop for great prices online and picked them up at the stores.

The biggest advantage for this month is Walmart offering MA Customers 2% cash back via the MA site!! This is groundbreaking news since they don't do that for anyone but since it's Market America's incentive for customers and they are our top online partner next to HomeDepot and Travelocity, they must have considered testing it out to see if it boosts the results even higher. And with the economy stalling and no real recovery in sight I'm sure it'll be a well appreciated bonus for smart shoppers. Getting a computer from Walmart can also be an extra savings with 2% cash back! I know I'm taking advantage of the "college dorm 2010" deals for furniture and organizing and already have items in my cart waiting to check out!

Time to get going....more later!

In the mood to shop now? Give it a shot! It's free to register with lots of other extras.

More Phenomenal Updates From 2010 Market America Convention

Wow, as I write this the event is still going on, JR hasn't started his big close yet and I'm watching the feed for Loren & Marc as they reveal some mind blowing webportal changes. I am super excited about the increased cash back from partner stores and one in particular is really amazing. Walmart has agreed to a 2% cash back exclusively for Market America customers!!! This is only valid for the month of August as a test of the marketing power of MA. This program should do great with all of the Back to School shopping that needs to get done and if we're the ONLY ones with extra savings then we'll surely make waves....like tsunami!!

I love the updated design that's more user friendly and share buttons for the top social media networks like Facebook, Twitter, and GoogleBuzz which all drive traffic back to my portal. Even the MA brands have increased cash back and there are some specials running right now for 20% and 40%! And somehow every distributor will be getting more cash back too. I am not sure, but I think the compensation plan got the 2nd management bonus but this one is for the IBV plan, if people meet the monthly requirements.

There's a lot more to catch up and the corporate blog is a great place to go: http://blog.marketamerica.com/

We're In The Midst Of The 2010 Market America Convention

I'll fess up right up front, I didn't get myself down to Greensboro for MA Convention. I know "Boo". I'm keeping a close eye on the event thanks to my network of colleagues on Facebook and Twitter. The main focus seems to be getting the field onboard with social media and there are special training segments and a company manual for reference that's great advice for any business.

My Twitter account is loaded with ReTweets and news clips that I've thought worth sharing and essentially saving via my feed. My senior business partner took two awesome iPhone pics, one with Scottie Pippen and the other with MA Senior VP Loren Ridinger as she cruised the concourse at the coliseum to meet her loyal devotees. More on Scottie in a minute.

Watching online is not the same as being there and I've had a few issues that held me back from going like how my family moved back to NY so that I couldn't bring my girls down with me for a mini-vacation with their cousins in Charlotte. I drove last year and we had a good time without feeling rushed to catch a bus or plane, although it's was still a business trip for me albiet a fun one. One thing that really helps is a distributor that's running a Ustream feed from his Droid phone so that viewers can see and hear a live video stream! That's cool.

The webportal has been totally redesigned and updated for easier navigation. The Cash Back program has expanded and can give shoppers up to 50% back for select purchases, mostly for MA brands, and the Hot Deals page includes the coupon codes on the same page so there's no more hunting down discounts and doing the back and forth thing. I love that! Helps people save more money and time.

There were updates for Motives by Loren Ridinger like new kabuki brushes and false lashes and a Professional Makeup Artist Program that I'm really excited about since that will help me approach beauty professionals and salons with more corporate material. I hope we have some nice economic solutions to present for an industry that's based on how many people get serviced, much like doctors except the results are easily seen.

The health and nutrition store has an Adreneal support supplement and Scottie Pippen has launched an Isotonix Joint health product along with stating he's an official UnFranchise Owner, like the rest of us, and will also work with the company to promote the new NPO program for 501c charities to create funds with sales from their own portal. I hope we really get some great publicity from his presence, seems like a really nice guy too.

Saturday is the big finale, with the exception of the tradeshow on Sunday, and the big news is that Kim Kardashian is flying in to speak about her special Kim Kollection of jewelry in the Loren Jewels collection and how to utilize social media since she has well over 4 million followers on Twitter and  is a dear friend of the Ridingers. Loren was recently on her sisters' show "Khloe & Kourtney Take Miami" as the supportive friend in a family situation with the Utopia III yacht as the backdrop. I know they filmed a few more episodes at the house and can't wait to see those too. This kind of stuff is what will help make MA a household name. People are finally talking about it thanks to the show. (yay!)

I'm sure there are more things I'm not aware of and surprises for tomorrow too so keep an eye on my Tweets!

Socializing In The Summertime For Fun & Business

After the recent heatwave here in NY things have gotten busy with summertime fun. I noticed that it has set the tone for people to be more personable in their social media lives. I've also had a few really nice meetings with business contacts in a relaxed setting and see that my social media friends are also in a different mindset. Some people still talk business 24/7 but that may just be RSS feed or a spambot. LOL

I'm planning for a salon demonstration coming up in the next ten days to a mainly Spanish group of cosmetologists and hope that we can get our message across to them. There are some new resources from corporate but I believe they are mostly for marketing, not so much for business building. The beauty division is very popular for the Latin community and with International Convention coming in three weeks I'm sure we'll have more tools for the expansion into that market.

As for real socializing, there have been parties, bbq's, and just fun times with family and friends. My birthday was right after the 4th and I was able to squeeze in two key meetings that are always at the beginning of the month that I am really glad that I didn't miss. One was for Market America, our monthly Suffolk County presentation, and the other was a Meetup.com group focused on sharing information in a kind of Mastermind Roundtable setting. I think someone should keep minutes for that one since it is jam-packed with strategies and tools that everyone can use for growing business in both a local and internet format.

I am also studying Facebook Marketing a bit more for my MA business and the repair shop. It seems that with one million new users joining the network every week that this is a platform to establish an identity on. Social Media has taken marketing to the next level and is a way to search or connect with any company's target market, simply because people share their information. I believe that mass marketing where a one-size-fits-all mentality is soon to be obsolete. Market America always focused on Mass Customization for product sales but it also applies to the business model thanks to the plethora of industries within it.

Can't wait to see the webportal updates and redesign which was previewed by a select group of distributors in Queens recently by our COO, CEO & Senior VP. That's what I love about this company, our own leaders step out there in person and present the information along with their heartfelt vision of the next growth step. Can't wait to hear about it!

Microsoft Recently Announced That Bing's Cash Back Program Is Shutting Down While MA's Grows!

The news broke earlier this month via social media that Bing's Cash Back Program is shutting down by July 2010. I read about it on Twitter and some of the news links on Yahoo, Mashable, TechCruch and Facebook feed. Some people were disappointed while others said that it wasn't what they hoped. Meanwhile, the Market America Cash Back program has been growing by leaps and bounds with improved percentages for MA brands, higher partner store cash back incentives and even more stores! I stopped counting at 3,000, the directory is probably closer to 3,200 by now.

Distributors and colleagues posted just about every news link on Facebook but I was too busy reading the articles to post much in my own feed, although I think I did one post. I am really excited about MA's program being such a big success with recent increases in cash back percentages being announced regularly and at Microsoft having to pull theirs which only creates more potential customers for the MA cashback program. The trouble is getting the word out to those shoppers when MA doesn't do any mass advertising, it's all word-of-mouth, one-to-one marketing and press in publications. I'd like to see some campaign for that in partnership with Bing since we already partnered with Microsoft FAST for the state-of-the-art product search software they made for us. *wishes upon star*

Here's the story from PC World: No More Bing Cashback http://www.pcworld.com/article/198135/no_more_bing_cashback.html
